What's Inside

Baguio today (2008-11-10) Baguio City, Nov. 10, 2008-- It is stormy since last night after many weeks of summer-like heat with no rain. Well, it actually rained about three times in the afternoon the past month or so and it was like summer rain-- a welcome relief from the extended dry spell, the sweet smell from the surroundings with so many plants in bloom and the singing of the birds, waking the memory of a summer vacation away from school or being somewhere else away from home with the possibility of meeting somebody new to fall in love with. Memories evoked was what the rains were all about. Who says global warming is all that bad? At least this year here, summer came six months early. Remember the small landslides I wrote about along Asin Road several weeks back? The mud and debris are still there on the road making a few spots only one way. Well, the other day a truckload (of the mud and debris) was removed and then after two days another truckload was again removed and that was it. Nothing more. So who wants to come home to Garbage City? -- The Publisher
